About Mrs. Jones

Teaching piano for the past 41 years, it has been a blessing to have musically influenced hundreds of lives. In addition to teaching piano privately, I was an Elementary Music Specialist in Prince William County Schools for 7 years. Since moving to Virginia in 1994, I have also taught in Manassas Park Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools.

As a spouse to a retired military serviceman, I lived and taught piano lessons in Kentucky, Texas, New Jersey, Indiana, and Seoul, Korea.

I‘ve been a choir member and preschool Sunday School teacher at my church, Crossroads Baptist Church, located in Bailey’s Crossroads, VA. The church has often been the setting for the Winter Piano Recitals, held each February. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Woodbridge Music Club student recitals and scholarship competitions, in addition to the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival, held each February in Manassas, VA.

My husband Jim, the ‘Studio Project Manager’  keeps all things running behind the scenes and we are the parents of two adult daughters. When not teaching, I like to find deals at local thrift stores, shop for jewelry and candles, enjoy afternoon naps, and watch home renovation tv shows (and dream about all the renovations I will someday make)!

Several years ago my daughters gave me a Mother’s Day gift to skydive. And that I did, while the rest of my family members stayed on the ground and prayed me through it. When you visit the studio, please be sure to check out my Skydiving photobook (and see the photo down below). What a fun time!
