About Mrs. Jones

Teaching piano for the past 44 years, it has been a blessing to have musically influenced hundreds of lives. In addition to teaching piano privately, I was an Elementary Music Specialist in Prince William County Schools for 7 years. Since moving to Virginia in 1994, I have also taught in Manassas Park Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools.

As a spouse to a retired military serviceman, I lived and taught piano lessons in Kentucky, Texas, New Jersey, Indiana, and Seoul, Korea.

My husband Jim, the ‘Studio Project Manager’  and CPO (Chief Parking Officer) keeps all things running behind the scenes and we are the parents of two adult daughters. When not teaching, I can often be found hanging out at lunchtime with friends. A new excitement is traveling to new places. Recently, I’ve enjoyed Dubai, Punta Cana, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Panama, Chicago, and Jamaica. Looking forward to many more adventures in the coming months.

Several years ago my daughters gave me a Mother’s Day gift to skydive. And that I did, while the rest of my family members stayed on the ground and prayed me through it. When you visit the studio, please be sure to check out my Skydiving photobook (and see the photo down below). What a fun time!
